Khushatta Hills Ranch is built on more than 150 years of family heritage. Established in 1870, this beautiful East Texas property has been lovingly cared for by generations of the Donahoe family and remains a place rooted in faith, hard work, and a deep respect for the land.
Today, founder Ingrid Purvis & Co- founers proudly continue that legacy by sharing the ranch with others. What was once a family homestead has become a destination where guests can reconnect with nature, create lasting memories, and experience the warmth and hospitality that have defined this land for generations.
Founders' Story
Meet Ingrid
Ingrid Phlegm-Purvis, founder of Khushatta Hills Ranch, is an entrepreneur, Christian author, retired educator, and United States Air Force veteran. With more than 30 years in education and a Master's degree in Educational Administration, her life's work has been dedicated to leadership, service, and helping others grow.
For over five generations, Ingrid's family has cared for this historic East Texas property. Today, she is transforming that legacy into a place where guests can reconnect with nature, embrace adventure, and experience genuine Texas hospitality. Through Khushatta Hills Ranch, she continues her family's tradition of faith, stewardship, and community—creating unforgettable experiences that honor the past while inspiring the future.
Meet Marina
Originally from the beautiful landscapes of New Mexico and currently resides in Houston. Marina has always had a love for adventure, the outdoors, and discovering new places. A proud mother, she balances family life with a passion for travel, business, and building meaningful connections. With a background in Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Management, Marketing, and Real Estate, she enjoys connecting people with great opportunities and creating unforgettable experiences. She is dedicated to making Khushatta Hills a relaxing but fun place for families and couples to come experience!
Meet Edwill
Edwill Rollins is a Houston Texas Native. He graduated with a degree in business administration with a concentration in Supply Chain Management and logistics from the University Houston Downtown in 2014. He has worked at FedEx Freight Corporation since 2009 where he currently works as a business analyst.
