The land where Khushatta Hills Ranch glamping site is located was provided by my 1st generational grandparents, Henry and Alzade Donohue in 1871. Out of this union, 9 children were born. Grandpa Henry accumulated about 600 acres between 1871 and 1926. Before he died, he deeded portions to his children, and Mollie D. Bolden, my 2nd generation grandmother was one of them. Grandpa Henry deeded to her 155 acres around 1936, and she deeded to my grandmother about 40 acres in 1955. Khushatta Hills began developing a glamping community on 5 acres with intentions to develop more. Ingrid is the 5th generational overseer of the property and do hope to pass it down to the next generation of overseers.
Mollie Johnson, my grandmother, became the 3rd generation overseer of the property in 1955. She managed a peach orchard, garden, and farm. Mollie, aka Aunt Bee, harvested enough crops from the orchard, garden, and farm to feed multiple families in the area.
Doris Phlegm would have been the 4th generation female to oversee the property. She deceased prior to her mother, Mollie Johnson.
Ingrid Phlegm Purvis became the 5th generation overseer in 2019. She moved to create a more modern and eco-friendly environment through the creation of a glamping (luxury camping) community.
